Potassium Iodide Oral Solution, USP — a 60 ml bottle at 65 mg per 1 ml. This is a radiation-emergency product for thyroid protection and nothing else. It is to be taken only when public health officials direct the public to take it during a radiation emergency — not as a daily supplement, and not as a general iodine source.

How to take it
Once daily only, at the dose for the age and weight:
- Adults over 18 — 2 ml (130 mg)
- Children 12 to 18 weighing 70 kg or more — 2 ml (130 mg)
- Children 12 to 18 weighing under 70 kg — 1 ml (65 mg)
- Children 3 to 12 — 1 ml (65 mg)
- Infants 1 month to 3 years — 0.5 ml (32.5 mg)
- Newborns, birth to 1 month — 0.25 ml (16.25 mg)
Good to know
- Do not take more than one dose in any 24 hours
- Keep out of reach of children
- Store at 25°C, with 15°C to 30°C permitted
- Protect from light and keep the container tightly closed
