Ginkgo biloba is a tree native to China and one of the oldest still growing. Both leaves and seeds have been used, but it is the fan-shaped leaf that carries most of what the herb is known for: ginkgo is naturally high in flavonoids, and it has been a fixture of Chinese herbal practice for centuries. Lindberg put a standardised extract of it into a vegetarian tablet.
