Empty vegetarian capsules in size 00 from Qatrat Al Sehha, a pack of approximately 160 capsules for filling powders, herbs and supplements at a dose the user decides. Size 00 is one of the largest sizes used in hand filling, and it holds more powder than size 0 or size 1, which lowers the number of capsules needed for a single dose. These capsules are sought by people who prepare their own herbal blends, and by anyone who needs to mask a strong or bitter powder that is hard to swallow on its own.
What is an empty vegetarian capsule?
An empty vegetarian capsule is a two-piece shell: a longer body that holds the powder, and a shorter cap that slides over it until it locks. The vegetarian shell is made from plant fibre with no animal-derived material, unlike a gelatin capsule, which makes it suitable for vegetarians and anyone avoiding animal by-products for dietary or religious reasons.
Advantages of the size 00 empty capsule
- High powder capacity: size 00 holds more per capsule, so fewer capsules are needed to reach the intended dose.
- Full dose control: the user weighs the powder and decides the amount instead of relying on a fixed pre-set dose.
- Masks taste and smell: the shell keeps the powder off the tongue, which matters with bitter herbs and pungent powders.
- Vegetarian shell: free of animal gelatin, suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
- Easy to open and close: the two pieces separate and lock by hand without tools, and they also fit home filling trays made for size 00.
Who are these capsules for?
- Anyone preparing herbal blends or home-made powders who wants them packed in an organised, measured way.
- Anyone who struggles to take powders because of taste or smell.
- Anyone who needs a powder split into equal, portable doses.
- Vegetarians and anyone avoiding capsules made from animal gelatin.
How to use
Separate the empty capsule into body and cap, fill the body with powder without over-packing, then replace the cap and press gently until it seats. A small funnel or a filling tray made for size 00 speeds up the work and keeps the amount consistent from capsule to capsule. The dose and the number of capsules per day depend on the material being filled and its own directions.
